Although many people always seem to want a swimming pool on their Sunshine Coast property, there are quite a few reasons why they are better in principle rather than in practice.

The upkeep on a swimming pool can be very expensive. For safe swimming, you need to treat the water regularly, and the cost of this alone can be high. Removal of debris from a pool can take up much of your time, after which you don’t feel like swimming anymore! You may also have limited outdoor space, and if you bought your house with a pool already installed, you might have other ideas on how to use the area.

Gold Coast Pool Demolition

Whatever the reason for wanting to get rid of your swimming pool, A-Team Earthmoving QLD has a broad range of equipment, knowledge, experience and operators to cover both residential and commercial projects. If you require Brisbane pool demolition, we streamline the pool demolition or removal process as we have vast experience in this type of work.

Pool Removal vs. Pool Demolition

We frequently get questions from our Gold Coast customers who are unsure what the difference is between demolition and removal. The easiest way to put this is that demolition is when there isn’t removal of the pool’s structure – see the below guide for a more thorough comparison:

  • Pool demolition: Can sometimes mean that you disassemble the top half (i.e. not the floor) of your pool, and then bury the resulting rubble beneath new compacted fill material. This method is suitable if you’re not planning to on build on this area in the future, or there is very limited access.
  • Pool removal: The pool is disassembled and entirely removed from your property. The hole is then filled and compacted with appropriate fill material, and you can then build on the area afterwards if you wish.

The important distinction is that the removal method ensures a better quality subsurface which is appropriate for building on. This fact alone is of critical importance to a civil/structural engineer who would need assess the subsurface structure to calculate loading requirements.

Family Run Business

We appreciate that there is a lot of information out there regarding Sunshine Coast pool demolition, sometimes it is contradictory and can leave you scratching your head. If you feel like you are not sure where to go next, we can help give you professional advice. We cover customers that are based all over the Brisbane area, and we also include the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

We are a family run business that started out life as a Brisbane based single operator company in 1988. With over 25 years in the industry, we have gained a significant amount of knowledge which has resulted in a company that has grown considerably; now we have the capacity to do several pool removals per week, and regularly do.
