13 Tonne Excavator

13 Tonne Excavator

The Case CX130 is the largest and most powerful machine in our fleet. For large jobs and sites with good access this is the ideal machine. Capable of moving large amounts of material and also equipped with large powerful attachments such as the GB5TL hydraulic rock breaker, it makes short work of large pool excavations and demolitions.

The 13 tonne excavator comes to each site equipped with:

  • 1500mm Mud Bucket
  • 900mm GP Bucket
  • 450mm GP Bucket
  • Ripper
  • Rock Breaker

Other attachments that are also available with this machine include:

  • Auger (350mm, 450mm, 600mm, 900mm)
  • Hydraulic Rock Grapple

Access Dimensions:
This excavator required a minimum of 2.5 metres straight clear access to get in to the site. It then requires a larger working room to account for its extra counter weight width when turning.

6 Tonne Excavator

6 Tonne Excavator

Our Yanmar Vio55 is our 6 tonne sized excavator and also our most popular and versatile excavator. The 6 tonne excavator is ideal for sites where working room or access is too limited for the 13 tonne excavator. The Vio55 has an articulated boom, zero tail swing and removable canopy which gives it the ability to access and operate in close quarters.

The Vio55 is our go to machine and would be considered the 'all-rounder'. We use these machines for all our jobs where access is available, including general excavation, trenching, demolition, pool excavation and hole boring.

Our 6 tonne excavators have the ability to be paired up with a bobcat or track loader as a 'combo' unit for a single hourly rate.

Each 6 tonne excavator comes to each site equipped with:

  • 1200mm Mud Bucket
  • 900mm GP Bucket
  • 350mm GP Bucket
  • Ripper
  • Rock Breaker

Other attachments that are also available with this machine include:

  • GP Buckets (300mm, 450mm, 600mm)
  • Auger (150mm, 350mm, 450mm, 600mm, 900mm)
  • Hydraulic Rock Grapple

Access Dimensions:
The 6 tonne excavator requires a minimum of 2 metres straight clear access in to the site as well as 1.45m of height. This excavator then requires a larger working room to account for boom height as well as swinging room as the arm of the excavator protrudes outside of its 0 swing area.

3.5 Tonne Excavator

3.5 Tonne Excavator

Our Yanmar Vio35 is our 3.5 tonne sized excavator and is the next step down from its larger 6 tonne counterpart. The Vio35 has an articulated boom, zero tail swing and removable canopy but is narrower than its larger counterpart giving it the ability to access and operate in more difficult and limited sites.

The Vio35 is a machine just as versatile and has the ability to carry out work including general excavation, trenching, demolition, pool excavation and hole boring.

Our 3.5 tonne excavators have the ability to be paired up with a bobcat or track loader as a 'combo' unit for a single hourly rate.

Each 3 tonne excavator comes to each site equipped with:

  • 1000mm Mud Bucket
  • 600mm GP Bucket
  • 300mm GP Bucket
  • Ripper
  • Rock Breaker

Other attachments that are also available with this machine include:

  • GP Buckets (350mm, 450mm)
  • Auger (150mm, 350mm, 450mm, 600mm)
  • Hydraulic Rock Grapple

Access Dimensions:
The 3.5 tonne excavator requires a minimum of 1.6 metres straight clear access in to the site as well as 1.45 metres of height. This excavator then requires a larger working room to account for boom height as well as swinging room as the arm of the excavator protrudes outside of its 0 swing area.

1.7 Tonne Excavator

1.7 Tonne Excavator

The Vio17 is our 1.7 tonne excavator and the smallest in our fleet. This excavator is used on sites that are most restricted for access. It could be considered a 'transformer' of excavators. The Vio17 has the ability to withdraw its undercarriage to create an extremely narrow straight line machine in order for it to gain access. Once it is in the site it then can expand its undercarriage again ready to work.

The Vio17 is generally only used where access or working room is very limited, though this machine is still capable of performing trenching, pool excavation, pool demolition, hole boring and general excavation work on a small scale.
This machine is generally paired up to work in conjunction with our mini track dumper or our mini skid steer loader and can be hired as a 'combo'.

The 1.7 tonne excavator comes to each site equipped with:

  • 1000mm Mud Bucket
  • 600mm GP Bucket
  • 300mm GP Bucket
  • Ripper
  • Rock Breaker

Other attachments that are also available with this machine include:

  • GP Buckets (450mm)
  • Auger (150mm, 350mm)

Access Dimensions:
This machine requires a minimum of 1 metres straight line access in to a site. Once inside it will expand to 1.4 metres wide to operate. At the expanded width of 1.4 metres the Vio17 is a zero tail swing machine.

Skid Steer Loader (Bobcat)

Bobcat

In our fleet we use Mustang 2044, 2054 and Toyota SDK5 model skid steer loaders (commonly referred to as 'Bobcats'). Skid steer loaders are the ideal machine for fetching and moving loose material to either spread or load into trucks to be removed. They are capable of creating level pads including slab preparations, loading green waste, levelling and repairing dirt driveways.

Our skid steer loaders are all fitted with a 4 in 1 hydraulic bucket equipped with a spreader bar standard.

Our skid steer loaders can be broken in to 2 groups. The Mustang 2044 and 2054 are our standard sized bobcats. The Toyota SDK5 is our mini skid steer and is narrower than its Mustang counterparts and able to access smaller sites. All of our skid steer loaders however are capable of loading our 10m3 tip trucks.

Other attachments that are also available with this machine include:

  • Chain Trencher
  • Auger (150mm, 350mm, 450mm)

Access Dimensions:
Standard size: The Mustang 2044 & 2054 machines require 1.6 metres of straight line access to any site.
Mini Skid Steer: The Toyota SDK5 requires 1.25m of straight line access to any site.

Track Loader

Track Loader

In addition to our skid steer loaders we also have a track loader (also known as a track bobcat or posi-track), the Takeuchi TL220. This machine can perform exactly the same tasks as the standard sized skid steer loaders though they run on tracks instead of wheels. This gives them a lower ground pressure making them ideal for wet or boggy sites which may be difficult to negotiate for a standard skid steer. These machines are not ideal for concrete or rocky sites.

The track loader is fitted with a 4 in 1 bucket and comes standard with a spreader bar.

Other attachments that are also available with this machine include:

  • Chain Trencher
  • Auger (150mm, 350mm, 450mm)

Access dimensions:
The Takeuchi TL220 track loader requires 1.6 metres of straight line access to any site.

Track Dumper

Track Dumper

The Yanmar C12R is our track dumper. This machine is a crucial piece of equipment on sites with very limited access. The track dumper is very much like a mini tip truck. It has a hydraulically operated tipping body and can track quickly through narrow access ways with approximately 0.5m3 of material.

The track dumper is often used on our limited access excavations in conjunction with the 1.7 tonne excavator and our pool demolitions to cart materiel to and from. It is fast, efficient and also has a low ground pressure and creates minimal disturbance.

Access dimensions:
The Yanmar C12R track dumper requires 1 metre of straight line access.

10m3 Tip Truck

10 Metre Tipper

We have a fleet of 10m3 tip trucks available with all our machinery. The 10m3 refers simply to the capacity of the material it can carry. These trucks in our fleet are all 'bogie' drive trucks which means they have 2 driving axles, each drive axle having 4 tyres. This gives them the ability to carry heavier loads compared to single drive axle trucks. All our 10m3 tip trucks are able to carry 22.5 tonne of gross weight, generally meaning that they can carry a load of approximately 12 tonnes.

These trucks are the ideal way of moving soil and materials in large quantities around the suburbs. They are also the means by which we transport all our machinery either by loading them in to the back of the trucks or by towing them to each site on a trailer.

Access Requirements:
These trucks require at least 3 metres of clear access to get in to a site.

2m3 Tip Truck

Our 2m3 tippers are a much smaller tip truck able to get in to areas with less access. They are approximately the size of a 4WD car and are capable of carrying a 2m3 load.
These are ideal for carting material short distances where access does not allow the larger 10m3 tip trucks.

Attachments

Rock Breakers

All our excavators are equipped with hydraulic rock breakers. These attachments are ideal for excavations where the ground becomes too hard to dig even using a ripper and also for demolition work, breaking up concrete slabs, swimming pools, etc.
The larger the excavator the larger the rock breaker that it can use. A demolition job which may take a full day for the 1.7 tonne excavator could be done within an hour or two for a 13 tonne excavator. Size does matter when it comes to demolition and digging in hard ground.

Auger

Auger attachments are available for all our excavators and our standard bobcats. Augers can drill round holes for anything from pier footings to fence posts. We have augers from 150mm wide to 900mm wide. The larger augers can only be used by the larger machines. e.g. the 900mm sized auger can only be lifted by the 6 and 13 tonne excavator. We have extensions available and are able to drill up to 2.5 metres deep and in some cases deeper.

We have a variety of auger drives depending on the job as well. We have high torque slower augers for hard ground and higher speed augers for non-rocky ground. All our augers are fitted with rock teeth and are well maintained.

Trencher

We have a chain trencher that can be fitted to all our standard sized bobcats. These trenchers dig a straight line trench 150mm wide. These are ideal for laying down electrical conduit and digging a long shallow trench in a short amount of time. These trenchers however are not able to be used in hard ground and should only be used in light material.

Rock Grab

Available on our 3, 6 and 13 tonne excavator we have 5 finger hydraulic rock grapples. These grapples are ideal for loading out demolition material such as broken concrete, steel and scrap, green waste and for building rock retaining walls.

Our rock grabs are hydraulically operated which allows us to have a much greater dexterity over the objects that we are picking up. Using these for demolition allows us to separate out all the different materials properly and then in turn they can be loaded out separately thereby minimising dumping charges.
